Interface of “Weather News”

The basic interface of “Weather News” includes weekly weather forecasts, wind speed predictions, updates on typhoons, and much more.
Once you arrive in Japan, you can enable GPS to get weather forecasts for your current location.
The system will ask if you want to add updates on weather news, forecasts, typhoons, earthquakes, etc. You can also directly search for “destinations” to check the weather.

If you want to check the weather based on your travel plans, you can swipe the top bar to find the “edit” function to add weather locations.
Alternatively, you can search for destinations and tap the “+My Weather” button at the top right corner.
Both methods allow you to add multiple destinations to the top list, then simply tap “My Weather” at the bottom to check the weather at any time.

Flower Condition Search in “Weather News”

One of the best features of “Weather News” for travelers is its ability to check real-time information about the sakura blossom and maple leaf seasons.
By pressing the “Menu” button at the bottom left, you can find updates on the blooming status and the colors of sakura flowers and maple leaves at various locations in Japan!

For sakura blossoms, after selecting the main region, you can find more detailed classifications by prefecture and recommended famous spots.
If you can read Japanese, you can also directly use hiragana search for place names.
On the first layer, you will immediately see the sakura blossom conditions at various places, such as “buds,” “blooming,” “full bloom,” or “green leaves.”
Before the sakura blooms, the app will display the latest estimated dates for blooming, full bloom, and “sakura snow.”
If the sakura is already in season, you will also find news updates and reports from users with real-time updates!

If you find that the sakura has not bloomed when you are already at a location, or if you don’t know where to see the sakura, you can directly check recommended spots in each area so you can quickly change your destination.
The method for checking maple leaves is similar to sakura blossoms, so once you follow this guide, you won’t have trouble!
Other Features of “Weather News”

In addition to sakura and maple leaves, “Weather News” also provides detailed information for other travel needs, such as pollen spread, mountain climbing, skiing, and much more.
With rich icons and kanji, this app is easy to understand, even if you don’t speak Japanese.
Of course, to get the most accurate real-time information, it’s still best to use additional sources of information or ask friends who can speak Japanese. Comparing various sources will ensure the most accurate results!
