Usually most of you will have Sensoji in Asakusa on your list of places to visit in Tokyo, won’t you? Indeed, Asakusa is one of the most famous sightseeing spots of Tokyo, and today we introduce Guraku (求楽), a shop in Asakusa where you can experience making taiyaki yourself from scratch.
So let’s see what we can do at this wonderful shop!

The staff will greet you and prepare all the ingredients and equipment you need to make the taiyaki. You will be asked to watch a video showing the process of taiyaki making.

Step 1 measure the taiyaki mixture powder and sift thoroughly

Step 2 add water into the mixture and mix well

Step 3 pour the dough into a batter dispenser

Step 4 grease the taiyaki pan

Step 5 fill the measuring device with the fillings (1 piece = 1 tick)

Step 6 pour the dough into the pan

Step 7 flatten and spread the dough using the back of the spoon

Step 8 add fillings

Step 9 pour the dough into the other side of the pan

Step 10 close the lid and bake for 3 minutes
