Ikebukuro Sweets Guide: The Best “Tabearuki” Treats in Tokyo

The Japanese love the concept of sightseeing while nibbling on snacks! This is known as “tabearuki”—literally “walking while eating”—and it is a fantastic way to discover unique Japanese treats. Today, we are introducing some of our favorite spots in Ikebukuro, one of Tokyo’s most vibrant hubs.

Mr.Waffle

A popular waffle store with many branches in Japan. We visited the one in Ikebukuro.

The restaurant uses specially selected ingredients and is totally worth the hype. If you love waffles, look up branches so you won’t miss these whether you visit Ikebukuro or not.
